I’m noticing searches on my dashboard for “Deep Light and the Great Retruthing,” which is the name of my contribution to the Kundalini Rising anthology, and also the title of my forthcoming ebook. This begins with the original essay, which is significantly expanded to include details of just what occurred during and after my astounding “Deep Light” experience. I had to keep the essay brief for the book, at the expense of important information.

Moreover, I had blocked out highly significant specifics of my experience “in the light.” It was mind-bending to find them in a (long stashed away) detailed writeup of the experience that I’d penned the day it happened. I have never – before or since – heard of anyone else experiencing anything remotely like this. The potential ramifications are frankly staggering, and it is a big deal to me to “come out” and share this particular “revelation.” The accounting will be in the ebook, which I had intended to have ready to offer by now, but…

… another round of ‘rowdy’ kundalini revved up during a meditation that delivered a kill-shot to my MacBook (electronics are easily impacted during active K periods), which then had to be shipped to California for repairs – an ordeal that threw off my rhythm for numerous projects. It IS coming and will be announced here when it’s ready to download.

Also – has anyone experienced any ‘earth empath’ symptoms lately? I had two days of extreme nausea early this week (April 14-15) that may have been about the strong (and deep) earthquake in southern Iran. There was also the marathon bombing in that window, but my sense is that earthquake sent my sensors reeling. True, there are “earth events” all the time now; perhaps it was the depth of this quake (many miles down) that allowed it to reverb through to me. The thing about empathy (without accompanying intuition or psychic skills) is, it’s not always easy to determine the cause!

EXPANDING INTO A NEW REALITY

2012 OVERVIEW

2012 was a massive year of unprecedented transformation. We experienced a deep healing as we shed layer upon layer of expired and untrue elements until we finally emerged at the end of the year as shining Jewels.

There were several major events last year that helped us greatly. The first was the ‘A Mu’a Ceremony in Rapa Nui (Easter Island) on April 21st. ‘A Mu’a is a word in the Rapa Nui language that means TO MOVE FORWARD. And that is exactly what happened. Many stuck places were suddenly set free. The wheels, cogs and gears of our personal and planetary evolution could now turn unhindered, allowing the massive Wheel of Destiny to revolve at an increased pace. Once this happened, everything started moving towards their right positioning.

The second major event was the momentous Activation of the Eleventh Gate on November 22nd. This was the final 11:11 Activation and marked the culmination of our twenty-one year journey through the 11:11 Doorway. This was when the expanded realm of the Diamond of the Unseen became visible, moving us into a totally New Landscape on an infinitely vaster scale to explore and eventually to inhabit. I deeply feel that this was the key event of the year.

The Eleventh Gate Activation also birthed the Heart of AN energies on the planet. It placed the first Jewels into the Crown. These Jewels in the Crown are the foundation stones for our New World.

After the Eleventh Gate Activation, came a profound Sacred Pause. We had much to integrate and realign. Many of us required huge amounts of sleep with an extremely active dream state. We were plunged into a profound silence, making communication nearly impossible. Many of us felt like we were walking through a cloud of Nothingness which only began to lift in the New Year.

Although the date of 12/12/12 was widely heralded, it proved to be of little consequence. Then came the “end” of the Mayan Calendar on December 21st. While for many, this day did not outwardly have the heightened energies of the Eleventh Gate Activation, this event played an important part in closing the Door of the Old, so we can now fully open the Door of the New.

All of these special events of 2012 brought us to the entrance of this amazing year of 2013. The Year When Everything is Possible.

THE 2013 OVERVIEW

We enter 2013 massively transformed beyond any previous boundaries. Many people experienced an infusion of LOVE on a scale never before experienced. Some experienced a profound paradigm shift from the duality-based illusion that “someone” or “something” would come to “save us” to the wide-eyed awakening that WE ARE THE ONES! This journey from “external expectations” to “internal knowing” took but a nano second, but flipped everything over.

Now, we are outwardly living the same lives as before, but everything has dramatically changed. We have been thrust into a vastly expanded New Landscape. Our vision has become so expanded, much of what used to be able to grab our attention in the past, is seen as minuscule now. 2013 is a year of profound change as we come into our own as True Ones, and lead the supra normal lives anchored in the Ultra Greater Reality that have always been intended for us.

2013 is the Chinese Year of the Snake, but it can be more accurately described as the Year of the Snake Shedding its Skin. This is because anything which is not honest and authentic will be removed from us on every possible level.Often this will happen with surprising ease; it will simply dissolve away. We are unearthing an incredible amount of long-buried stuff that needs our attention. If we try to stuff it back into our hidden corners and pretend it’s not there, health issues may arise. Any attachments that we have to duality will be constantly magnified until they are surrendered. If we are still caught in our old stories and continue to repeat old duality-based patterns, this year could be a bumpy ride until we learn to set them aside.

Everything has so profoundly changed since the events of the final months of 2012 that we need to rediscover who we are now and what we really want. Once we are clear on what we want, not limiting ourselves to old dreams, everything will fall into place. Be clear about your heart’s desires, for they are like shining jewel lights dropped like bread crumbs to remember the way. Listen to your Heart’s Knowingness. Again and again, we need to ask ourselves, “What do I really want?”, “Who am I becoming?”, “What am I creating in my life?” and “What gives me the greatest joy?”.

We need to prepare for the Unexpected. Expect the Unexpected all year long. Anything can happen all across the full spectrum of experience. It could be brilliant, terrible, exquisitely beautiful, deeply sad, profoundly touching or beyond our Wildest Dreams. It’s important that we don’t limit the unfolding potentials with any of our beliefs or understandings; they’re way beyond anything we can imagine. Be open without being attached to any interim steps, results and expectations, as nobody yet sees the whole picture. 2013 will contain many unexpected twists and turns making it absolutely necessary to be completely flexible at all times. Freshness is essential. We need to be ready to correct our course at any moment, as new information emerges. If we Expect the Unexpected, surfing the changes will be fun. This is true for even the most challenging tsunamis, for they enable us to demonstrate our new mastery.

We begin this year in a stripped down state, feeling that most of our artifice of our superficial personality is gone. We discover that we don’t miss it and don’t need it anymore. We are still integrating the profound changes that occurred in November and December of last year. Everything needs to be thoroughly recalibrated. Everything needs to be greatly expanded so it can move into the vast realm of the Diamond of the Unseen.

If we have completed our old stories, we will enter 2013 with a blank canvas before us. We have been presented with blank canvases before, but this time we can dare to bring out our boldest brush strokes, wildest colors and the deepest yearnings of our Wildest Dreams. We are no longer limited by our old perceptions of “what is possible” or of “what we thought we wanted”.

We’ll feel the deep quiet and stillness of the Sacred Pause until the end of January, and maybe even longer. During this time, we will be clearing out more layers of untrueness. Many new openings, insights and opportunities will come to us and we will be making preparations for the months to come. Even so, it’s important that we don’t try to rush things, but let them unfold in their right timing.

Around the beginning of February, the big waves of Quantum Surf will start coming in again. As long as we’re true and clear and open – they won’t knock us off balance. If we’re still holding onto our old story – they’re going to shake off all the ballast.

The funny thing is that our old stories are not only the stories that we’ve been writing for lifetimes. It’s our yesterday too. What was true yesterday may no longer be true; if so, it will fall away, making space for even greater Trueness. It’s important not to get attached to the tools we used and the steps we took to become Jewels that worked perfectly before and served us well, the things that brought us to where we are now. They might not belong to our New Story.

March is the month where the tsunamis start coming in. The Full Zoom manifests and many elements start moving into their right positions. April is the ‘A Mu’a month in which everything accelerates even more. After that, it’s Beyond our Wildest Dreams territory for the rest of the year for those who have completed their old stories.

In the new, expanded realm of the Diamond of the Unseen, a lot of things might still keep their usual form, but we’ll see how their true essence will reveal itself and become visible so we might use them in completely new ways. That’s what gives our lives more colors, more sparkles and a whole new dimension of possibilities. This has to do with the hidden treasures and Seeing the Unseen. Everything revealing its true essence is like a hidden treasure opening itself to us. We’ll see and interact directly with the core essence of everything, which will give us new perceptions and the possibility of creating new, deeper, true ways of living.

Many beloved people left the planet last year and even more will leave this year. What’s surprising is that some Second Wave people are now being pulled out. This is a huge wake-up call for us to walk a TRUE PATH at all times. We need to treat every day as if it were our first and our last. Honor the preciousness of your relationships. Tell the ones who are special to you that you love them. Express your gratitude. Remember that everything is sacred and every moment is the chance of a lifetime.

Some friends and family are also leaving our lives, not through death, but simply because there is no solid foundation of honesty and transparency in the relationship. We can no longer stay in dishonest relationships, for they now feel too uncomfortable. There needs to be honesty, openness and mutual support. When these relationships suddenly collapse, it can be surprisingly liberating to let them go.

Throughout this momentous year, there will be a dramatic turn toward Oneness. Duality is making its final call and creating much drama to get people’s attention. But the True Ones know better. Mother Earth is cleansing, preparing, and so are we. The True Ones are needed, more than ever, to guide and assist those who are still awakening.

All year long, many missing pieces of the Cosmic Jigsaw Puzzle will click into position. Soon the Big Picture will become much clearer to everybody, not just to those who are already experts in connecting the dots. When enough of humanity can see the Big Picture, people will activate en masse and know what to do, because they will spontaneously know who they truly are.

We are being given all the experiences necessary for us to fully emerge as shining Jewels so we can live a True Life in a New Reality. 2013 will bring us lots of Quantum Leaps, breakthroughs and new discoveries. The Green Lights will finally turn on for those creative projects that have been waiting for us to become Jewels in the Crown. There is the sense that we can be and do everything, without knowing how, but knowing that we will.

Much of this year will be spent exploring our expanded New Landscape. To do this, we will have to greatly expand our beings. We will be like babies, discovering our toes and fingers, learning to walk and finding our voice in this unfamiliar, but wondrous new place. We are discovering new ways to interact with our self, new ways to interact with each other and new ways to interact with the Earth. Many of us will feel that we have an extra energy inside ourselves, ready for the New Year. There will be lots of natural phenomena appearing this year, such as Sunbows (Sundogs) and Moonbows in the skies, to confirm that we are in a totally New Landscape.

There will be a bounty of creative opportunities and activities throughout the year. These will help ease our way into this transformational return to non-duality living. Instant manifestation is a routine occurrence now and into the future. Our energy is overflowing and powerful beyond belief. We can transform anything. There will be more shattering of old world phenomena, because it no longer fits. Power will be expressed in gentler, deeper, truer ways — steeped in True Heart Love and Oneness. Much will be washed away / blown off / burned out / shaken away, and through these strong shifts, we will hold the resonance of Trueness in the core of our beings for the benefit of All.

We are increasingly realizing that our new True Purpose is a collective purpose, not an individual one. In order to connect with our True Purpose, we must first come together with our True People and True Places. This will happen throughout the year. That’s when we leap into ONE BEING IN ACTION and all things are possible.

2013 brings us an absolute NEW BEGINNING. We are ready — more real, honest, empowered, transparent and loving than ever before. We are given all the support we need, on level after level, to move our lives onto the truest trajectory possible. The new MUA has fully landed. Our New True Lives have begun.

What is presently underway can be illustrated by the simplistic analogy of a coffee “press pot”. The press pot filter screen can be compared to a fluid boundary zone between the zones cleared by the “correction energies” and that which has not.

The “correction energies” have been brought into the 4d region (“astral” in some terminologies) closest to “3d” which is the vibrational and physical space where the human self resides in a human body on Earth. The “filter press” of the “correction energies” is designed to allow as much of the consciousness of “self” – that portion of your greater level being – to emerge mostly intact, but without most of the dark side tendrils and infections.

The filtered vibrational space is specially altered by the “correction energies” to prevent re-infection by the dark. This process does not fundamentally change the consciousness of the “self”, for that potentiality is presented again soon thereafter.

What it does is to separate out the “true light” that is most ready to come forth from a mixture in which the dark has wrapped itself like a parasite around the light.

As in any type of “therapy” the more one is “complete” and over and done with experiencing pain and suffering –of identifying with it as a necessary part of ones existence –the easier it is to effect a greater “healing” process and spiritual expansion. In contrast, the more one is attached to pain and suffering, the more difficult the process.

Such attachments, like tough muscle adhesions, are usually not something one usually wants to acquire, rather these are the result of a dark-side dominated reality that elicits a wide range of “defensive” human and energetic responses to the parasitic infection of the dark. Sometimes the “body” vehicle –subtle bodies and the bio-physical –simply cannot handle this and deeper problems develop, like a cancer beyond ordinary 3d physical levels.

In this simplistic analogy of the coffee press pot, what is underneath the filter plunger represents a growing concentration of all that is dysfunctional about the vibrational reality of 3d and that which sustains and maintains it out of habit. This includes the planetary body, biosphere, atmosphere, as well as human society throughout.

This situation of what is being accumulated under the “press filter” is something that is unavoidable in a reality that only exists from its ability to parasitize Light energy. Now the true Light is being separated out and less of it is available to fuel a degenerate reality.

The earthly environment of the human self is becoming increasingly untenable in every respect and this will catalyze growing numbers to turn their attention from all that they have grown habituated to pain, suffering, animalistic impulses, human psychological dynamics, etc. and look toward something totally different.

It is in this opening to, a turning of attention in an 180 degree “about face”, that greater numbers will become open to spiritual existence and the more this occurs, the less of a hold the 3d density reality will have on them. In each moment of genuine opening to the possibilities of spiritual existence, a very great many will find what has been so close, yet so out of reach for so long.

If human selfs were capable of making higher choices out of true free-will many would have done so by now, but true (spiritual) free-will has long been suppressed and denied in this realm. Thus so many simply cannot help themselves for what they do (or not do).

While many “lightworkers” etc. came here to help, they were ill-equipped at their higher levels and not surprisingly at their human levels as well. There simply was no way for them to know how dangerous and difficult the situation would be here.

Furthermore, most of the higher level beings, who projected some portion of themselves into this realm through human and other forms, themselves became caught up observing (and experiencing) a horribly twisted reality – like an endless virtual reality show that seemed to have no exit, only endless variations.

This all led up to a situation of accumulated risk of being unable to extricate themselves –intact –from the tar pits of earthly and other similar such realities in this fallen sector.

It is difficult to image the level of care and attention that has gone into changing this situation without annihilating these realms. It seems to have taken forever from an earthly perspective.

Nevertheless, here and now, some very high level changes have occurred to completely contain and dissolve the dark side. It could not be accomplished mainly from “within”. This is something we have described in the pages of Global Awakening News and the “A-List Updates,” maintained at the Articles and Bulletins section at http://www.pfcn.net.

As it is with anything that has been imprinted through force of habit, these attachments to the old ways –to pain and suffering, to the mistaken identity of “self” with that of a self-centered social-tribal animal (human) –are all part of a system of control based upon beliefs and energy taps. Belief systems, when strong enough, are “as if” real to the belief holder and many of these beliefs influence the self after it has departed its human body. The energy taps draw off the Light energies to feed parasitic entities –both human and non-human –and in so doing prevent access to the higher spiritual light and divine right of the higher transformation.

As the human social-physical matrix breaks down, many of these beliefs will be weakened as well. As more of the human self reaches up to a somewhat higher level perspective and looks back upon its 3d level, it will realize something of the truth that it is more than its body and social animal existence.

Many of us have been on the front lines of this shift for years in transmutational service – a mode of wicking up lower energies through us on behalf of a wounded planet and its inhabitants. This role can make for a rocky ride that I candidly admit I haven’t always handled with grace.

This scene from the beautiful film Resurrection – starring Ellen Burstyn as a powerful healer – graphically illustrates this process in a 1-on-1 session with a profoundly disabled woman. The healer takes on the symptoms of the disease as it passes through her on its way back to Light and wholeness. I loved this 1980 film; just seeing this scene again made me tear up with emotion. It so depicts what is happening now on a massive energetic scale!

When I first discovered Rumi’s mystical poetry (a few lines quoted above), I was deeply involved in a dance with the Divine in the form of awakened Kundalini. Rumi’s missives reflected an octave of love far beyond my personal experience until this energetic presence took over my life for several years, leading me through profound experiences and opening me to a perceptual range I’d never before fathomed.

Legend goes, some 800 years ago in Turkey, a theologian named Rumi encountered a mystic named Shams. This meeting spontaneously unleashed a force so powerful in Rumi, he was knocked right off his mule. If this story approximates true events, my sense is that Rumi’s Kundalini was spontaneously set off by Shams, with visceral oomph! The two then entered into deep communion with the Divine, which – as Rumi’s subsequent outpouring of poetry claims – they beheld in one another. They had met God in man, which is not a metaphor for seeing goodness in the other, but rather more like entering the aura of a glowing Christ and realizing you and He are actually One.

We’re talking major revelation here.

What IS this Mysterious Force?

A computer’s operating system running perpetually behind the scenes seems a fitting metaphor for Kundalini; think “sacred software.” It idles quietly at the base of the spine when dormant, like a pilot light. It’s actually incredible that this hotlink to Source can be so subtle as to remain undetected by the vast majority of people who have it – which is everyone.

This little pilot light holds a big secret: it’s actually a concentrated bundle of divine consciousness that can ignite into a life-altering “purifying fire” under certain circumstances. This can happen by transmission (or deeksha in Sanskrit) through eye contact (darshan), or by being touched (shaktipat) by someone more spiritually developed. Gurus are known to initiate their followers’ awakening by such transmissions. Kundalini can also be activated by yogic practice, impact to the lower spine, or through childbirth, illness, or trauma, among other things. It may also awaken spontaneously of its own accord, which was my experience.

In the Rumi/Shams example, the initial impact of Rumi’s encounter with the mystic Shams resembles darshan. Their compelling need to surrender completely into communion with God through one another points to Kundalini’s apparent mission, being, to make God’s presence in man visceral and known. The resulting proliferation of poetry typifies another hallmark of this energy: exploding creativity.

The word kundalini means “coiled” in Sanskrit. It rests coiled like a sleeping snake at the base of the spine unless awakened, at which point it ascends, clearing chakras as it goes. This process goes on – continually or intermittently – for as long as it takes to clear obstacles to Christ consciousness – the unmistakable realization that God does in fact dwell within. This fundamental truth has been “buried alive” in most of us due to our entrained preoccupation with the material world, reducing God to a vague notion that has little personal relevance.

Kundalini endeavors to bring us to a state of clarity about who we really are in the greater sense (as opposed to the “little me” perspective, here at street level), and clarity also in our biological suits used by Spirit to interface with the 3D world. Awakened Kundalini expresses differently for everyone who experiences it, as it meets each of us exactly where we’re at and addresses exactly what we need to heal, or cleanse, in preparation to occupy more rarified realms.

In other words, Kundalini works steadfastly to restore us – personally and trans-personally, physically and spiritually – to wholeness by removing all the karmic muck that has accumulated in the nooks and crannies of our bodies, psyches, and spirits over lifetimes. This rigorous cleansing prepares us for our return to the divine realms of clarity, compassion, light, and love … back to the Oneness from which our souls individuated at the beginning of this long, treacherous exercise in separation.

As Kundalini works to prepare us for our return to Oneness, or unity consciousness, the process can present some formidable episodes, depending on the extent to which one is encumbered by karmic baggage. This baggage, or debris, is anything and everything that’s not “of light.” Try to imagine every negative thought or feeling, deed or misstep, spanning all of one’s incarnations over time, as well as every outcome of those negative states in the 3D landscape — and you might begin to sense the scope of Kundalini’s “project” of reconciling it all to reclaim a refined vibrational state at last.

Kundalini and the Shift

In the late 90’s, when my activation began ramping up (we aren’t all knocked off our mules at first blush; it can happen gradually), there was little information available about it – basically a few books, most by Gopi Krishna, and an autobiographical book-in-progress shared online by an experiencer named El Collie. Her highly informative writings are still freely accessible today (elcollie.com), though she is deceased. I imagine readers would find El Collie’s work of interest.

Today, Google returns 12,800,000 hits on Kundalini, including forums where experiences can be shared and sorted out with assistance from others in similar situations. An awakening of this energy can launch an array of highly non-ordinary experiences, and finding a local mentor or helper who has “been there” tends to be rare; online communities might fill a gap in this regard.

It appears Kundalini is “coming online” more frequently now that new photonic energies are pouring in from the galactic core, activating humans in a cosmic transmission. Even NASA acknowledges an unknown form of energy billowing from the galactic center; they’ve posted photos of it online. Are God and science merging at last?

Here’s my current “grok” of cosmic events: I envision a vast delivery system through which Source energy pours into our solar system – our sun, the planets, and ourselves – in a series of pulsing waves on a mission to awaken our innate godliness and lift our base frequency closer to Source vibration. We are godlings preparing to “be risen” into realms that will seem heavenly compared to our earthly experiences. Some of the ride home may seem utterly chaotic – even insane – but actually, finally, we are becoming divinely lucid!

I’ll end with a concise “download” I once received regarding Kundalini: “You are being cleansed of everything you thought you were, so you can finally become what you really are!” Kundalini is on board, guiding us to our new Homo Luminous/Human 2.0 upgrades, fully integrating Light and form, heaven and earth – and all is well.

Ascension and Transmutation Changes in the Body – Metatron

“I Am Metatron. I have been asked to serve by dictating information that will assist you in moving through the transitions that are ahead for the planet and all life on the planet during the ascension.

This planet, and all species of life on the planet are in the process of ascension. Ascension means that all first and second dimensional lifeforms will “move up” to third dimensional lifeforms.

Humans, or third dimensional lifeforms, will graduate to either fourth dimensional worlds or fifth dimensional oneness depending on their level of evolution and their intent.

The ascension is occurring now as a step by step progression, and will continue one way or another, for that is the will of all.

Normally, planets and the species of life incarnate on the planet are ascended via cataclysmic disasters that usher in a death-resurrection cycle.In this cycle, as was demonstrated by Christ, disasters create planetary death. Because this is the way ascension usually occurs, it is known and understood very well at the level of the Universal Mind.

That is why, since ancient times, there have been prophecies of terrible destruction to occur at end times.

The Resurrection Cycle ( Resurrection Dispensation )

Now is the Ascension, where all life begins anew, at a new level of consciousness in a Higher Dimensional World. This does not mean reincarnation, for that carries the concept of Karma with it, and before ascension can become a probability, all Karma must be cleared.

It does not mean existence only as a spirit in celestial worlds, ascension is also physical.

As a process, it changes the physical body while merging the body and the spirit into one being. This being is a perfected being of light, in a physical body of light.

This ascension progression actually began thousands of years ago, with the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt.

The story of Moses leading his people out of bondage is a metaphor for the ascension progression. The incarnation of Jesus was a major turning point for the process because as an Avatar, Jesus was capable of taking on the “sins” or Karma of all humans and transmuting that energy to light.

Because of his redemption, a gentle ascension became possible. This ascension, evolves through a series of steps, until a state as a light being becomes possible. The redemption of Christ was the beginning step of the Light Body progression.

This first step took nearly two thousand years to complete.

Light Body was introduced as an experiment in 1988, only seven months after Harmonic Convergence.

It is an experiment because an ascension has never been attempted this way. This method, both a graduated increase of light within the physical bodies of all lifeforms and the planet and an increase in the vibratory level, has never been attempted before in ANY ascending universe. There are theories within the Universal Mind about how that process will work out, but at times the results have differed from the anticipated.

In these cases revisions are made. As a foundation for the information I will give later, I must explain the Light Body progression to you. You must understand this process first at a personal level. This personal level is how Light Body will affect you physically, emotionally and mentally. Then I will give information on how Light Body will affect the planet and how it will affect the structures of your society.

I consider the most important and exciting aspect of Light Body to be that this experiment transforms your physical shell into an appropriate vehicle to merge completely with your higher self, and happens concurrently with the physical process.

This merging is created by a series of descensions of spirit, which are timed by the amount of light you are holding within your cells.

The amount of light held by the physical cells is keyed to the level of Light Body, and the higher the level, the less dense the body.

The more light you hold in your physical body, the greater the level of spirit you can contain within the body. Toward the end of the Light Body process, just proceeding the shift into ascension, you will merge completely with your Higher Self. The descensions of spirit are the mechanisms used to bring in, or turn on, the spiritual gifts of the ascended masters.

Light Body has twelve levels or steps, and as each step is completed the changes that have occurred physically must be integrated in all areas of the life and the spirit.

Light Body is designed to bring up all your human issues as you progress, and each higher level brings up a deeper layer to the issues than the layer before it. This is to assist you in becoming clear mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. As the issues emerge, you may allow Christ’s redemption to transmute it for you.

There is a void space at the end of each Light Body level that we call ego death, and it may manifest as depression or a sense of nothingness. This void is to be used as a rest stop before you continue your journey. This void is an energetic place where nothing exists, and you are able to build a new picture of yourself and your life before you move to the next step.

The void is an integration chamber, or perhaps I could describe it as a cocoon, where you can rest and form the beautiful butterfly you are to become in your next step.

The first six steps of Light Body were structured for gradual change at all levels with regular spiritual awakenings interspersed with the physical, mental and emotional changes. From seventh level through tenth level Light Body the progress changes and is focused on one area of your experience at a time.

For example, in seventh level most of you experienced your first descension of spirit, and a noticeable spiritual awakening with it.

You may have manifested clairvoyance, clairaudience, or a kinesthetic awareness of energy with the awakening. I am discussing this level in the past tense, because currently the planet is shifting into the beginning of ninth level. It is a very painful experience to be at a lower vibratory rate than the planet you exist on, which is the case for those who are below eighth level.

Because you are reading this article, I am certain you would be somewhere between the void of late eighth level, to eleventh level in the Light Body progression.

You would not have an interest in spiritually oriented literature if you were in the lower levels.

Eighth level Light Body creates body changes in some extreme ways.

Physical symptoms similar to viral syndromes are very common. During this level, you may have noticed that you caught a cold once a month.

Other symptoms are headaches (behind the eyes) as the optic nerve pathways for light are turned on and the pineal gland becomes activated. You may have earaches, air pressure changes, itching inside the ears, as your hearing structures are rewired to decode light transmissions, and excessive perspiration or diarrhea as you drop density from the cells of your body.

One perspective on these changes is that you are adding a third physical strand to your D.N.A. For some, the body may resist the density drop because of the descensions of spirit. A symptom of that resistance is weight gain.

Human bodies have a tendency to try to cope with descensions by becoming bigger to contain the spiritual mass coming into it.The only effective way to stop the weight gain once it has started, is physical exercise. I mean very hard exercise such as weight lifting, bicycling, running, or swimming. The exercise must be sufficient to begin building muscle mass. Creating muscle mass will protect your nervous system, for the energies coming in with each descension is much stronger than your nervous system is accustomed to. Adipose tissue cannot protect the nervous system as muscle does by accepting the overflow from the nervous system. Adipose tissue will “fry” as these energies overflow, and the result is damage to the insulin receptors within the cells.

This throws the metabolism out of balance, and the result is weight gain. The muscle mass created by exercise will take the overload from the nervous system, and will convince the body consciousness that it is “big enough” to hold the spirit. You may begin to notice flashing colors on your inner screen, geometric equations moving through your mind, or hear a hum. This is the beginning of the translation facility, and will allow you to turn light code into cognitive understanding and comprehension.

The grids around the planet constantly transmit messages to the life forms incarnate on the planet. These messages come through in a form called light packets, and are coded. I call it “light code”. This information must be “decoded” or converted to conscious thought, so you can understand it and use it in your life. These messages are designed to give instruction, and to explain what is occurring energetically at the higher dimensional frequencies.

If you are a sensitive who can hear the hum, a sharp tone, buzzing, please acknowledge this to your guides. They are trying to assist you to get the light code transmissions, but they cannot verify that you hear it unless you respond.

Your guides will try to assist you by turning up the volume and frequency of the audible light code until they see a response from you. The light code as a hum, can become very annoying and even physically uncomfortable. If you are experiencing this symptom, “ask” your guides to turn down the volume and calibrate the frequency so it will not be irritating or debilitating for you.

These eighth level changes can take up to two years for a human. It has taken three years for the planet.

Ninth level is about integrating the spiritual changes from seventh level and the physical changes of eighth into your physical life. In ninth level, relationships are your focus, for it is through relationships that you test yourself and the changes that have been wrought within you. You may find that any relationship based on control or manipulation becomes intolerable, and many relationships end during this phase. You may also find that your work in the world changes as you integrate your new identity. The void of ninth level Light Body can be very painful, for after so much focus on relationships, this void requires you to ultimately be alone with yourself.

After all, the relationship you have with yourself is the most important relationship you have, is it not? Ninth level ends (and sometimes begins) with fairly massive descensions, giving you yet another relationship to integrate as a part of your process.

At the beginning of tenth level, life feels new, and you may feel newly born and very tender. Tenth level is the beginning of the spiritual awakening that will lead to your mastery of the abilities that mark the spiritual masters and adepts. These abilities, or gifts of the spirit, will become stronger as you become energetically clearer. In tenth level the focus will be on manifesting these spiritual gifts, and then integrating the gifts fully so they are usable in your physical, everyday life. Your greatest natural spiritual gift will be the first to manifest in tenth level, and your other gifts of the spirit will open later in a gradual way.

You will be required to live by your spiritual gifts. If you are clairvoyant, for example, you must make decisions by what you perceive clairvoyantly – not by what you perceive physically.

Your clairvoyance will literally overtake your physical sight during tenth level. You may notice one day that you are very clearly seeing three curbs and sidewalks.

Deciding where to place your foot may be very confusing. You will be seeing the physical curb and sidewalk, the etheric curb and sidewalk, and the fourth dimensional curb and sidewalk. If you rely completely on your clairvoyance, not the physical sense of sight, you will know where to step. If you use the physical sense of sight you may trip a few times in a public place.

Eventually you will learn how to process this type of vision. The process of becoming clear is one of releasing stored energy from the emotional body and the mental body, and relocating that energy to the spiritual body where it becomes usable, through which miracles are created.

The only difference between an Avatar and an ordinary man is the location of the energy held within the energy bodies. An ordinary man has all his energy “locked-up” in stored emotions and memories in the emotional body, and beliefs, dogmas and thoughts in the mental body.The ordinary man has a flat spiritual body, for there is no energy to spare from the demands of the emotions and thoughts. An avatar has clear emotional and mental bodies. All the energy held within an Avatar’s subtle bodies, is stored in the Spiritual Body.

For a Master, the energy associated with emotion flows into the emotional body from the spiritual body IN THE MOMENT, and is released to the spiritual body once the emotional stimulus has ended.

The energy associated with a thought flows from the spiritual body to the mental body, and then is released to the spiritual body as the thought is completed. This leaves an Avatar’s energy free, to use according to his will. The spiritual energy is available to an avatar because it is not consumed by thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and memories. This is the energetic structure each of you must create in your energy bodies, during tenth and eleventh level Light Body. This will allow each of you to perform miracles such as manifesting thought into physical reality.

Eleventh level of Light Body is a natural progression from tenth, and many times the transition is so easy, the shift isn’t noticed. The spiritual abilities continue to grow, and the physical body begins to change in appearance. Your physical body becomes luminous, glowing, and appears very beautiful. You might have friends and acquaintances suddenly remarking that you look younger, or that you have changed in some way that is indefinable. Eleventh level brings deeper levels of processing on your emotional issues. At this level you must deal with all your beliefs and thought forms around death and loss.

You might create disillusionment, or even find you are creating your deepest fears within your physical life so you can clear them completely by experiencing them. Any stored energy held in the emotional or mental body after tenth level is completed must be released to the spiritual body in eleventh level. If you do not deal with those issues while you are in tenth level, you will manifest them in your lives within the eleventh. But, you truly have nothing to fear but fear itself when you are at eleventh level Light Body.

Twelfth level Light Body is the Ascension. It is marked by the movement of the Merkabah into the heart center of your body. The Merkabah can most easily be described as a golden ball of light. It is the Vehicle of your Ascension, and a major initiation for you when it happens. That event is the beginning of your personal Ascension into a Fifth Dimensional world of Oneness. The Ascension can occur at an individual level, it can occur within a group, or it will occur as a part of the collective experience. You will Ascend when you are Ready, whether you do it alone, as a part of a group, or as a part of the ‘Planetary Shift’ yet to come. There is not a period for the ascension in any way. At an individual level there are ascensions occurring daily.

Since Harmonic Convergence the energy has been available for the shift into a Fifth Dimensional Consciousness while in a physical body. There are many beings, who are incarnate because they have volunteered to serve by testing the Light Body experiment. They are the first ones to move into Ascension. For the rest of you, the Light Body program will continue until you are ready, and then you will shift. Ascension is a very simple thing. It is a change that occurs in an instant, but you are still here. The Sun will still shine and the Stars will still twinkle. The difference is Joy, your ability to live Joy and to feel Joy.

The easiest way to verify that Ascension has happened is to note the quality of joy in a person’s life.

The beginning of the Ascension is when a person begins living life by creating their fantasies as their reality. I, Metatron can define JOY as Nirvana, Ecstasy, or Rapture.

It is that state of ‘Oneness with God.’ It can also be defined as your center or being on your center. That clear space you can achieve in meditation where energy is flowing and you feel that absolute Cosmic Oneness with all. Whatever brings you pleasure or feelings of lightness, and whatever you would define as joy, is a pathway to that state.

If you are working as a part of a spiritual group, you will experience a series of faster shifts in your processing. When one member of your group notices the embodiment of the Merkabah, you all will have received it, and will soon become aware of it also. The individual members may not have noticed this occurring at first, but at least one member of the group was ready for it, and as a result the entire group will get the benefit. A group working on Ascension has a tremendous advantage because Fifth Dimensional Consciousness is a consciousness of “Oneness” or in other words, the group is One. Working with a group creates enormous synergistic energy, where each of you is far more powerful than you would be if you were alone. It also gives each member a chance to learn to relate both as individuals, and from oneness within the group. This is an essential fifth dimensional consciousness shift that everyone must make.

As individuals and groups focus on Ascension, they should focus on beginning to recreate their lives as absolute masterpieces of joy. As they do so, they will begin to live from joy, and later, they will become Joy. As each of you does this, you will begin to shift everyone you come into contact with in your daily life, broadcasting the energy of joy to them and waking them up to that frequency. The Mass Ascension will occur when the majority of ascending humans on the planet are existing in this state of joy, and not until. The reason for this fact, is that this planetary experience is one of free agency. In this Multi-dimensional Universe, free agency is Divine Law.

When the majority of you are living from joy, the planetary experience will have moved into a world of love and oneness. When the majority of you have given up the game of polarity because you have learned all you could, and have by your own choices moved into joy and oneness, the mass ascension will occur.

Until that time comes, and it will, the Light Body progression will continue. The ascension will take as long as it takes, and humanity as a collective group, in the end, decides the timing of the great event. Free agency cannot be tampered with, not even for the highest of purposes, not even to create the ascension.

The point I wish to make with this information is that the greatest way each of you can serve God, serve all mankind, serve the planet, and to serve yourselves is to create your lives as masterpieces of joy. Be ruthless in evaluating your lives, and clear everything that does not bring you joy. Let go of old emotions and old issues, for they are consuming the energy you could be feeling joy with.

If you focus on this as the entire process, and focus on learning to live from joy as your path of initiation, you will become the adept or spiritual master you desire to be. You will assist everyone you meet, by your very presence, and you will be anchoring the energies of joy for the planet as well, to assist her in birthing a new level of manifestation for all. This ecstatic state of union with God is a part of the potential that is open for all. This path of joy makes the ascension so very simple, for all that is required is for each individual to begin focusing on, and taking full responsibility for his life. Live life as a masterpiece of JOY.

The planetary changes that have been prophesied for these times you are living in are frightening for many. Since you have nothing to fear but fear, I will bring forth information about how the Light Body process has changed the probable future for the planet. I have described the process for you as it affects your physical self and your personal life.

I will now explain how Light Body impacts the planet, for the planet is physical, and the entire basis for sustenance of your physical life. As you become a being of light the planet also changes. The planet is becoming a sphere of crystal and light. When the Light Body experiment began in 1988, the planet was shifted into third level Light Body. The planet shifted into a higher level each year after; fourth level in 1989, fifth level in 1990, and sixth level in 1991. The planet entered seventh level on Jan. 11, 1992 with the 11:11 gateway, and remained there until the next gateway opening which was 5/5/92. This gateway initiated the beginning of eighth level Light Body for the planetary process, and with that level of Light Body, earth changes were most probable.

Planetary shifts have always been ushered in by a series of technologies I call gateways. Gateways are energetic conduits opened from a higher dimensional universe to this one. These conduits bring through the energies necessary to pattern mass consciousness, change planetary vibrations, and to change dimensional frequencies. A gateway requires the assistance of the space brothers and many beings on higher dimensional frequencies to create it and to refine the energies for the specified purpose.

The purpose of a gateway, and its timing is the domain of the Light Councils, or Karmic Board, and the Ascended Masters of The Great White Brotherhood. These councils oversee the progress, and assist when needed. The 5/5/92 gateway purposes were to forestall probabilities around cataclysmic disasters, which were most likely as the planet began losing density. The greatest probable disaster is a pole shift. The 5/5/92 gateway began the shift between the in-breath of God and the out-breath of God. The shift between an expanding Universe and a contracting Universe. This gateway, 5/5/92, signaled the still time between the two directions. This still time continues until 2012 when the in-breath of Lord Brahma begins. This physical Universe has been expanding, fragmenting out into individuation. When the contraction begins (in-breath of Lord Brahma) it is the merging of the fragments into Oneness.

This Grid shift from Eastern Hemisphere to the West (Mount Shasta) was engineered to aid those who are known as lightworkers at this time of change, for the Grid shift allowed the planetary frequencies to shift upward into what is known as the lower fourth dimensional frequencies. This brought the planetary vibration into what is known as the astral worlds. These worlds are still worlds of polarity and illusion, but they are far less physical. It makes it possible for each of you to begin opening potentials of joy for yourselves, and as you do, the disasters become less probable.

Those who are aware and those who are learning to use spiritual power to create in the physical can use the energies from the new grid alignment to create their personal version of “Heaven on Earth”. There were many of you requesting this assistance, for many lightworkers wanted to be able to precipitate thought into matter.

The greatest way to release enemy patterning is to move yourself into a space where you believe there are no enemies. Move yourself into a space where there is no question about the need to protect your rights. Move yourself into the attitude that, yes, you have the absolute right to possess and bear arms, but where would the necessity to use those weapons ever come from? This is a world at peace! This is one of the things that will be shifting drastically as a result of the Silent Revolution. With the Shifting in Energy the illusion of having enemies will become less and less real, until it no longer exists. Become clear within each of yourselves about how you interpret these violent events, and what they are mirroring for you. Become clear within yourself about how you perceive the need to have arms, and what your values are. Work through these issues on your own level, in your own life, until you can create a perception of an absolutely safe, stable world. For other people in your life, who have concerns and fears about these political issues, assist them by your ability to bring through energy.

Facilitate their efforts to process their beliefs, until they can arrive at a place where they are secure and without fear, and have the attitudes that this is the time of Peace, let us welcome it. If you can do these things it will be of great service to the light, your assistance in shifting the Mass Consciousness on these issues. It is of interest that on the macro, people are willing to do away with nuclear arms. Destroy them, dismantle them, make their use illegal. But on a personal level, they will cling so tightly to their own firearms. Divine law is – as the inner, so the outer. It must happen at the personal level first, then it will manifest internationally. If you truly want to outlaw nuclear arms, begin within your own lives.

Normally, before the energy realigns itself in a balanced way, the pendulum will swing very far from side to side. The hope is that this issue is just a pendulum swing before the attitudes balance themselves. Other movements you are seeing politically are to create reforms in the Welfare system. These shifts are the result of the gateway that opened on 6.6.94. That gateway was one of self-empowerment. But along with self-empowerment comes the requirement of self-reliance. This gateway brought through a new model for a Self Empowered – Female. The archetype of the Goddess Athena is something each lady carries within her consciousness. An activated model of this archetype of an Empowered Female was beamed through the gateway from the ship Athena. This opened up a remedy for many social ills in the Western World, for how can you have an Ascending Planet or Species, if over one half of the population is in a “less than” position? Many women are treated as less than, earning less than, less opportunity, less education, relegated to welfare, relegated to poor circumstances and unequal opportunities. To change that, women must also step into their power. The energy to support the feminine is available, and has been since the reawakening of the forces of nature at the 12.21.91 gateway.

Each of you who are aware and empowered must focus on filling the void with joy, and shifting the forms of your lives quickly and easily. As you do this, the transitions from the old forms to the new will be traversed quickly and easily by the majority as well. For those of you who are working actively on your own ascension, you are carrying a great burden. That burden is in living impeccably. You cannot create something on the level of the macro (collective) without first bringing it into the micro (personal). As above, so below – that is divine law. You must first create within your own life what you desire in your society, social structure, and country. There are many of you incarnate, with the Divine Mission to realign the law to more closely resemble Divine Law.

You are here to shift the entire collective around the issues of politics, economics, government, and law. You must use and live by the principles of Divine Law in your own lives first, before you can bring them through at the mass consciousness level. Create a life without a need for defense or violence, without a need for political polarity, without the need for welfare programs, and without the need for treatment of disease. Create your lives as a world of peace, joy, security, and equality. The outer world will follow your lead. This world you are living in is now a fourth dimensional world – an astral world. It is still a world of polarity, but there is a difference. That polarity is just an illusion!

There are stories from every path of initiation about “The Guardian of the Threshold,” and most often the Guardian is a terrible monster. When an initiate is developed enough to travel to the astral worlds, the first thing the initiate will encounter is the Guardian. The initiate must defeat the Guardian to make further progress on their Spiritual Path. This is considered a Test, and the Test must be passed, or the instruction of the Master stops. Every Esoteric tradition has it’s method of how to deal with the Guardian, and overcome it. The one universal truth about this test, is that the Guardian is you. That terrible demon is an astral apparition of your worst fears. A monster yes, but it is nothing more than an illusion. In every tradition the solution is for the initiate to release their fears and personal demons and then they will overcome the Guardian. It will just disappear.

That is why each spiritual tradition, or path of initiation, has always had a focus on developing clarity, and personal qualities such as humility, forgiveness, and love. These qualities are the only way you can pierce the illusions of the astral worlds. As in the traditions of old, and in the Ascension Progression today, the Upper Dimensional Frequencies are not opened to the initiate until this Test has been passed.

In an initiation, there is no failure. If the test is not passed, the lesson is merely repeated until the initiate gets it. This is the best metaphor I can give you to describe the experiences you are having in this dimensional frequency. Remember, the Guardian is just an illusion, and polarity is just an illusion. If you release those illusions and beliefs, release those fears, the Guardian disappears! The world you experience will recreate itself around your new reality perceptions. The assistance of all the hosts of heaven is available to each of you, but you must ask. We cannot violate your free agency, even to assist you.

All the assistance you need to walk through these changes peacefully and joyfully is available to each of you. This information is given to you to assure you that all is well. My role is to shift your fears, to assure you of divine love, and to awaken you to potentials you may have to assist the collective. Each of you has only one responsibility in this lifetime, and that responsibility is for YOUR OWN LIFE. Divine law is As Above – So Below; As the Inner – So the Outer. When you perceive difficulties, enemies, or bogey men, in the outside world around you, look to your inner life for they will exist there as well. If you clear these perceptions from your inner life you will find that magically, your outer life, your experience, and perceptions shift, this is divine law.

You can bring about the elimination of polarity very simply – by working on your own life, and that is all each of you are required to do. Go forward and create of your life an absolute masterpiece of joy. The tools are given to you, the power is given to you, and all the assistance and guidance that you could possibly need is available. Each of you must actually DO IT, and as you do it you will transform your world and the larger world as well. You have nothing left to fear but fear itself – for fear is the last great evil that remains in the world. Work on your fear, and eliminate it from your mental body and emotional body, and as you do so you will eliminate it from your life. Fear is the only enemy left, and that enemy is only located within each of you.

Truly, the great ones are those who are incarnate at this time of change. Your initiation is nearly complete. All that remains is for each of you to pass the tests of Joy.

This blog already has a dedicated page of kundalini/ascension symptoms, but I have a special place in my heart for an extraordinarily generous woman named El Collie, who was one of the first people to share openly about her severe kundalini experiences online.

She experienced a ‘blitzkrieg’ of K symptoms, documented them in detail, shared what she knew in forums that supported so many…  and then, in 2001, she died. Whether of ‘natural causes,’ or a ‘natural’ Kundalini event that went beyond where her body could follow, or by her own hand… has never been made public.

Once, when my experience periodically became so unbearable I wondered if I’d survive it – or if I wanted to – I emailed her husband asking what had happened to El. No response… which led me to suspect even more strongly that her departure was her choice. Kundalini is not something to pursue because you want the “goodies” that might come in the aftermath. That’s the exact wrong reason to seek enlightenment, tho it’s understandable, especially regarding spiritual “newbies.” Kundalini is a serious matter that, once unleashed in a body, takes over the wheel of the life – and the ride can become far more than ever bargained for.

If it is “your destiny” so to speak to experience a kundalini awakening, it will find you! ~ Perhaps while you are under the tutelage of someone who has personal experience and much wisdom re: kundalini. Please do not try to force the movement of this energy upon yourself. However, it’s my belief that kundalini awakenings will become increasingly “set off” in response to the higher frequencies now pouring through our solar system.

If you or someone you know begins having unimaginable “symptoms” such as these, you will be called upon to be as gentle, understanding, and tolerant (with yourself or the other) as you are able, as a life-altering journey has begun. It may be very brief; it may last years. Each awakening is tailored to the person experiencing it. Mine was difficult and went on for years. For someone else it might be blissful right out of the gate. It depends on your trails (throughout lifetimes and also family lineages) up to the awakening and the blockages accumulated along the way that kundalini will set about clearing.

Physical Manifestations

The transformational process creates all kinds of havoc in our systems, and can have a powerful somatic impact. If you are experiencing physical symptoms, it’s wise to get a medical checkup. In the case of psychospiritual illness, it’s unlikely that doctors will be able to diagnose the cause of your symptoms. Unfortunately, when medical examination and clinical tests detect no pathology, doctors are apt to declare our symptoms psychosomatic or neurotic. Medical science is still largely in the dark about psychospiritual illness, and doesn’t understand that a process such as a Kundalini awakening produces very real metabolic and neurological changes in the body. The following is a list of the blitzkrieg of physical symptoms encountered in my own awakening process and/or in the experiences of others who have been in psychospiritual transition. I have roughly categorized these into two groups: Outward Manifestations, which can be “objectively” observed, and Sensory Manifestations, which are internal sensations.

Outward Manifestations

1. Tremors, shaking or convulsions
For me, this began gradually, first noticed as an uncontrollable tremor which caused my head to shake rhythmically back and forth, even when I was lying down.

2. Rhythmic, jerking, spasmodic or graceful involuntary movements
These are called kriyas and mudras, and may be mild and infrequent or very vigorous.

3. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
Many of these symptoms come on suddenly, and last a short while – a few minutes or hours, or a day or two, then just as abruptly, they vanish.

4. Unusual breathing patterns; cessation of breath for short periods This is known as automatic pranayama.

5. Reddening, blackening and loss of toenails or fingernails

6. Skin cracking or peeling (or turning red)

7. Skin eruptions: blisters, warts, cysts. pimples or boils

8. Loss of hair; hair standing on end

9. Weight changes (which may or may not correspond to food intake)

10. Nose bleeds

11. Menstrual changes (more or less pain than usual; lighter or heavier bleeding, longer or shorter cycles) Women undergoing Kundalini awakenings often find that the symptoms intensify during the time of their periods.

12. Compulsive running; automatic dancing, or automatic posturing of the body (often in yoga asanas)

13. Involuntary vocalizations (or inability to speak)

14. Increase in metabolism, causing weight loss; faster growth of hair and nails

Sensory Manifestations

1. Sensation of great heaviness in the body.
I felt as though hundred pound weights were hanging from all my limbs and an elephant was sitting on my chest!

2. General physical weakness; partial paralysis.
For me, this symptom occurred in the early months of my process, in the wake of the sensations of heaviness in my body. My ankles turned to rubber and my feet dragged and flopped sideways when I walked. My arms became increasingly useless, and it was hard to move my fingers. I couldn’t pick up small items, and I had no gripping strength. Just trying to hold a spoon was a formidable feat. I became so weak I could no longer lift my arms. At the crux of this condition, I was a bedridden invalid, unable to use my hands even to dress or feed myself. My walking was reduced to a faltering shuffle.

3. Exhaustion, fatigue (sleeping most of the day)

4. Insomnia, hyperactivity
If for an extended period, this manic phase may lead to temporary psychosis

5. Dizziness, faintness, blacking out

6. Muscle twitches, cramping, aching or spasms

7. Prickling, tingling, itching or vibrating sensations on or under the skin

8. Numbness in the limbs

9. Pain in the solar plexus; sensation of being “punched in the stomach” (especially when confronted by fear, anger or manipulation by others)

10. Sensations of extreme heat or cold. (The heat may be detectable by others.)

11. Pain in the spine or back.
This can be severe and crippling. Although it is not common, in my case, when the Kundalini became active in my spinal column, I suffered a ruptured disk that kept me flat on my back in bed, unable to move, for over four months. I felt a bubbling, liquid sensation in my spine that one healer thought might be the movement of my spinal fluid. At times it felt as if my spine were disintegrating; sometimes I felt sharp pains and internal blockages that felt like chunks of broken glass in my spine. When the Kundalini becomes active in the central channel of the spine, there are usually pulsating, ticking, throbbing, thumping and strong energetic feelings in the lumbar and tailbone region. Powerful energy may rush through the spine–one man said it felt like a locomotive running through him.

12. Feeling or hearing cracking, tearing, popping in vertebrae, joints and tendons (or in the brain).

13. Headaches, intense pressure in the head

14. Constriction around the throat; swallowing difficulties or convulsive swallowing.
My throat stopped working altogether. When I tried to eat, the muscles that contract in swallowing simply refused to move. It was as though my swallowing reflex had somehow short-circuited. I found myself gagging and having to spit out the food. I could only get down liquids, which depended more on the pull of gravity than the cooperation of my throat muscles.

15. Pressure in the chest; breathing problems

16. Stabbing, ripping or burning pain in the chest; “heart attack” type symptoms

17. Heart palpitations, rapid pulse

18. Shooting pains throughout the body

19. Fluctuations in appetite (from none to voracious hunger); craving certain foods.

20. Tremendous surges of “electricity” and/or vibrating energy in the system

21. Pain in the eyes; increased sensitivity to light, dimming of vision

22. Eyes “bursting out of sockets”; rapid eye movements (visible to others); poking, pulling, tugging sensations in eyes
In my case, I felt a horrifying sensation that felt like toothpicks stabbing into my eyeballs. Later, I endured weeks of furious movements of my eyeballs, which even occurred in my sleep.

23. Heat or energy radiating from the ears.

24. Tongue spasming or curling backward into throat.
When I developed this tongue-spasming symptom, it made my speech difficult at times, and I would slur my words or bite my tongue when talking. I also experienced blisters on my tongue. When the tongue curls backward into the throat, there is a tendency to gag. This seemingly bizarre and alarming phenomenon is actually a well known positioning of the tongue in yoga, the kechari mudra.

25. “Migrating” tooth aches (sometimes all teeth aching at once)

26. Acute increase in hearing, taste, smell, touch or vision

27. A sensation of being about to disintegrate or explode

28. Feeling of being “out of body” or expanded into an energy field

29. Sensation of changing size (growing larger or smaller)

30. Conflicting needs: feeling hungry and full, tired and agitated, overheated and cold at the same time

31. Abrupt drops in blood sugar (these can lead to some of the mental and emotional symptoms described below)

32. Floating sensations; actual levitation

33. Swirling or spinning sensations

Psychological Problems

Emotional turmoil and mental disturbances may also occur during a psychospiritual process. These include:

1. Confusion, temporary amnesia, mentally blanking out

2. Uncontrollable weeping spells, sometimes without definite emotional content

3. Outbursts of temper

4. Feelings of great neediness and clinging to others

5. Sudden episodes of anxiety, fear, rage, grief, guilt, etc.

6. Depression, despair, hopelessness

7. Aggressive and hostile behavior – Very rarely does this carry through to actually harming others.

8. Exaggerated fears; paranoia

9. Feelings of impending doom

10. Terror of, or longing for, death

11. Deluge of memories of events from our past

12. Ideas of self-aggrandizement; interpreting our process to mean that we are now specially appointed saints, messiahs, or extraterrestrials on a mission from God. (Self-inflation)

13. Altered states; episodes of psychosis

14. Terror of going insane; frightening thoughts or visions

15. Disgust and anger with ourselves, the human race, God, the universe

16. Difficulty dealing with the way others are being affected by the higher vibration of our energy – People seem to be inordinately magnetized to, or repelled from, those in transformational processes.

17. Agoraphobia; panic attacks These are often the result of psychic hypersensitivity.

18. Alienation from the external world; emotional flatness

19. Extreme introversion and retreat from worldly contact

20. Losing faith in everything

As miserable as it can feel to go through any (or many) of these experiences, it has always helped me to remind myself that others have endured these same difficulties in their awakening processes. It has been a relief to me to know that these symptoms aren’t indications that something has gone terribly wrong with my process. None of these things are fun to undergo, but all of them can be a natural stage in our inner unfolding.
