Today I’m pleased to share with you a video clip of an interview with Richard Tarnas – one of the most influential and perceptive cultural philosophers of our time. In Passion of the Western Mind (1993), he presented a vast overview of the history of western thought and culture, with predictions of where both were heading. In 2007 he published Cosmos & Psyche, which traces the connection between cosmic cycles and archetypal patterns of human experience.
The following clip (at the end of this post) references Joseph Campbell’s “Hero’s Journey,” and discusses how we as a planetary body might now be in a mass “death & rebirth cycle.” How is it playing out? Look around!
The hero’s journey justly applies to our current situation. If you’re unfamiliar with the hero’s journey, here it is in a simple diagram in which our “hero,” trucking along in his mundane life, finds himself called to an adventure. He must leave all that he’s known up to this point behind to answer that call. The adventure is deep, profound, and wrought with danger.
When I was a child, big storms often brought us big problems. I can’t count the times the family was called to service in the basement, to stand on drains intended to let water OUT. During storms we needed to keep city sewage water from coming IN.
Houses’ drainage was easily overwhelmed by heavy rain back then (before the city overhauled the entire sewage system), causing sewage to flow in reverse in a sopping, foul-smelling mess. We took turns standing on sheets of cardboard to cover drains (me in water up to my skinny thighs), while others bigger than I would be moving furniture and other items out of the floodwater.
The situation was made all the more challenging by avoiding having any electricity (ie lights) on during the flooding to avoid electrocution, so all this extreme unpleasantness was navigated with flashlights and maybe a few candles sitting on shelves.
This all came to mind today after I watched today’s Suspicious Observers video on youtube, which explains (among other things) that our planet has now surpassed its former cosmic radiation maximum – yet another sign of our amplifying frequencies here. Continue reading →
Recently there’s been a flutter of energy back in my home town where a couple of grammar school classmates have been trying to line up a class reunion, relying on Facebook for contacts and leads. So, on FB I’ve been seeing people from my earliest youth checking in from around the country with their RSVPs and regrets.
I’ve been watching from the wings; I will not be going. This event is in two weeks, by the way.
So – On Monday morning of this past week (April 30), I noticed that one of the organizers, Nicki, posted an old photo on FB of her deceased parents holding her as a baby, accompanied by the simple line, “I’m really missing you today.”
It was one of those touching things you see in social media sometimes – a remark that offers a glimpse into that person’s heart of hearts. I felt her sadness. Continue reading →
Just spent 55 minutes with Regina Meredith interviewing Lee Harris and also questioning the “Zs” while Lee channels them.
I feel this is a conversation worth listening to (stronger than my title for it suggests :-}) so I’m posting a link for you here. It’s a free pass to stream this program on (subscriber site) gaia.com valid for 48 hours as of this posting if you are not a gaia member.
Here’s something from Steve Nobel you might find of interest. I’m posting both the video and its transcript, so you can choose your preference. As per my inclination on this blog, I share perspectives to add to the hopper of your overall grok re: what’s going on here in this incredible transitional process which is our lives – personally, collectively, planetarily, cosmically!
The darkness is where the real work – the heavy lifting – is. The (dense, tarry, often painful) darkness (accumulated over millennia of lifetimes) is what kundalini addresses in spades. There’s no dearth of darkness in this world. I don’t seek it out, but it presses into my orbit, regardless. How else will it be dealt with? Polite silence doesn’t command attention or response, does it. We are not in a time of polite, Victorian “wallflower darkness” presently. The dark we have now has festered into raging. :-}
.. A friend saw the film Mother! last night, which I had no prior interest in (not at all into being scared witless by movies) … but his remarks moved me to look into this incredible feat in filmmaking (which I still won’t see!). Its meaning (which apparently really must be explained, preferably after seeing it [spoilers!], it’s so off-the-charts strange) is revealed in a Vanity Fair article here. Your choice of course whether to look into it. I found it all quite brilliant, while still not wanting to put myself through the experience of watching it!
The “releasing ancient darkness” theme of this post seemed related to what I’d just read on Vanity Fair’s site about Mother!, so, for what that may or may not be worth to you! My dot-connecting here isn’t as random as it may first appear. Ha!

Releasing an Ancient Darkness
by Steve Nobel
This is a subject that feels timely because much ancient darkness is being released right now from the planetary light grids and from our energy fields. We are passing through a powerful time in our collective awakening. Light and dark forces have pushed our collective evolutionary process to a crucial point. Continue reading →
Following is another excerpt from the Bernhard Guenther article I published a portion of in my last post. One thing a dance with kundalini teaches in spades is the power of Divine Will and that your role in the matter is to acknowledge it and surrender to its lead! This is the formidable process of divine embodiment. I may post more from Guenther… love, Whitehawk
by Bernhard Guenther
The path towards awakening is about aligning “Your” will with “Divine Will” – your connection to universal spirit with the “I AM presence” within.
In doing so, you will receive what you truly want and need (from a soul-based level), which are delivered via the lessons you need to learn as you diligently-develop the gifts/talents you have that are unique to you… most of these abilities you may not be fully aware of (yet).
This is also how true “reality creation” works – in alignment with your soul’s purpose.
However, it’s vital to note that this process will conflict with any desires and goals you have/had which stem from ego/personality identification and social/cultural programming “insertions”. It also requires healing/letting go of any past hurts, grudges, resentments, shadow aspects, wounds, and traumas, which are being triggered/revealed even more so now in these days of accelerated energetic activity.
In other words, you need to clear your “vessel” for higher energies to be able to anchor themselves in you, reconnecting you to who you truly are (activating your original blueprint/DNA). Continue reading →
More re: Mogay, Archons, and Us as We Move Deeper into Higher Frequencies
I’ve noticed a fresh wave of interest in the Interview with a Stranded Alien post from last year, so I watched it again and have more to say about this, and also would like to bring your attention to another interview while here, as both are related imo.
For your discernment
First: the Mogay entity coming through Kim (the channel) sounds like an archonic being putting a more… positive?… or at least more neutral… and expansive … spin on its “interface” with humanity than I’ve heard anywhere else.
In a way it brings to mind the epic Hidden Handinterview that I’ve discussed here intermittently over the years.
It’s actually a fascinating spin to take into consideration, explaining how this very alien “life form,” if one could even call it this (it’s a conscious electric energy), got catapulted into our solar system by a catastrophic cosmic event in an altogether other universe, leaving them stranded in a strange land, and doing what they had to to adapt to their circumstances.
Then: last night I listened to another interview that I’d also heard sometime last year, about a psychologist’s career dealing with scores of schizophrenics in prison (where schizophrenics typically end up, as public mental institutions have largely been defunded and shuttered in recent decades). Here’s a potentially helpful POV re: coping with the (apparent) incoming President of the USA, Donald Trump.
I say “apparent” because I believe something huge and totally unprecedented will happen before the inauguration that will change everything, possibly way beyond the political arena. This “unprecedented” event may well leave Trump “unpresidented”! (See what I did there? :) Heck, it may be SO big it will leave the country unpresidented! Wouldn’t that be interesting!
But regardless how you feel about Trump, this piece by Patricia Pearce can help us approach challenges we experience here in this “dream” of earthly existence more consciously and objectively. So much of this “whole catastrophe” (to quote Zorba) is about EGO. Humanity’s collective ego could hardly be any more distorted than it is now. What follows basically amounts to mass shadow work, which could be an illuminating exercise. oxW

With this presidential election, you may feel you are in the midst of a nightmare, which is good news if you know how to work with it.
According to dream expert and author Jeremy Taylor, who has worked with dreams for over 40 years, all dreams come in the interest of health and wholeness. All dreams. Even nightmares, which bring insights so crucial and timely that they scare us to get our attention. Continue reading →
Another deep and thoughtful journey from Paul Levy. When I first heard the phrase “parasites of the mind” about 20 years ago, it really SAID IT, imo. It spoke to me. Levy refers to this gnarly “growth experience” as wetiko. More recently the label archons has become more common.
Love to you, “cooties ‘n all,”
The Mind Parasites of Colin Wilson:
Fiction or Reality?
by Paul Levy
It should get our attention that every person or group of people that have discovered what the Native American people called wetiko unanimously consider it to be the most important topic—there’s not even any competition—to understand in our world today. To give one example: Carlos Castaneda’s Don Juan refers to wetiko (though by a different name) as “the topic of all topics.” Called by many different names throughout history, the spirit of wetiko renders every other issue secondary, for wetiko is the over-arching umbrella that contains, subsumes, informs and underlies every form of self-and-other destruction that our species is acting out in our world. If we don’t come to terms with what wetiko—which can be conceived of as a virus of the mind—is revealing to us, nothing else will matter, as there will be no more human species. Wetiko inspires the darkest evil imaginable while, at the same time, potentially helps us to wake up to our true nature as creative beings. How wetiko winds up actually manifesting depends upon whether we recognize it as the on-going revelation that it is—it is showing us something about ourselves that is of supreme importance for us to know.
What makes a “wisdom tradition” worthy of the name is whether or not it illumines the covert operations of the wetiko bug. Continue reading →
